Cultural Connections International Incorporated
We the board of directors of Cultural Connections International Incorporated (CCII) dedicate ourselves to reach out to people whose lives are often in turmoil, and who continue to strive to survive but are unable to enjoy basic security and dignity. We lend our hands because we are blessed with peace and prosperity. We believe that poverty and powerlessness are avoidable and can be eliminated by human action. We also believe that we can make a difference in assisting our fellow human beings to aspire to fulfill their basic needs for a sustainable livelihood.
CCII works with poor and struggling young men and women in developing countries to enjoy basic security and dignity through practical training that promotes the revival of traditional hand crafting and the use of modern technology as a way to self-help.
Our goal is to establish artisan learning centers where traditional crafting skills and modern technology are taught and where young people are trained to be proud to combat poverty, aids and helplessness themselves by giving up the streets for a better livelihood. We will honor their achievement by helping them have access to capital to establish viable grassroots enterprises. We will assist them to promote and sell their products in the world market.
Where and why
Our first initiative is in Ethiopia where the streets are filled with promising young people with no future and were a growing number of them die of poverty and aids.
If you want to join us in this effort you can do so by sending your contributions, your advice, ideas and support that might assist us in our effort to achieve our goal.
